Data Entry is LAME.

Bags. Okay, so I've got... what, 3? at least writing ideas on the go, and a fair amount of editing/typing up to do. Oh well, I've figured out a way to get it from pretty much anywhere to my hardrive or here on dA a lot faster then before.

About half of what I've got for The Last Draw is up. I'll finish up the chapter on that one, then move on to the Roast of RQ's Brain (still haven't figured out a title) after that. The cast list is longer than the play, so far! Heheh.

Next will be a thing I was working on last summer called Bhudda Bing. It's a pretty lame idea, but I'm having fun reading over it again.

After that I'll need to write something new! Requests, or are you lazy watchers just gonna let my mind wander?

Today's Special: :iconthe-avocatore: She's being lazy and also an Ozzy lookalike. You know what to do.

Ho-hum.

So, half a year since last time. About time I cleaned up that emo bullcrap, methinks. Gone.

What have I been doing? The usual, little that needs to be put up here. Just one thing really: I'm engaged. Whoo! The wedding is still two years off, but after four years Sean and I have decided to make it official and tie the knot. You might be invited, ask if you're interested.

My writing's been mostly off key lately... I'm not satisfied with anything beyond simple storyboarding and toss it out. On top of that, I've never been that good at holding on to or sticking with my storyboards... so it's all pretty useless.
Help me out; give me some direction! I've figured it'd be best to get back on track with one of my serials (ie Jack's Story, Poltergust, imp... yadda), but like I said, I'm not satisfied with it. Tell me which one you'd most like to see move forward, give me some ideas maybe. It's shown before that a little push gets my scribble muscle going again.

May 1st - Faaaaxx! I have a parasite. Went hiking this weekend with Sean and my kid brother Gabe (who did awesome by the way, the whole stretch with very little suckery). Got scraped up and sore of course, but I also picked up a special guest; a little tick gnabbed me on the side. Funny thing is I never noticed it until the next day, figured it was a scratch and never checked. Actually, I never noticed it at all, Sean did.
Little bugger was on the left side of my chest looking like he was boring right for my heart. Sean showed him... but being the butthead he sometimes is, he just pulled the thing out and it's head came off. Sigh. Bloody thing is still there. I guess it's a good thing I was seeing the doctor this week anyway?

On a less disgusting note! I've figured out something I want to write, a couple things. They're just playarounds really (do I do anything else? hm) but one might turn out dev-worthy. I'm pulling up all the characters I've ever made, liked, and played for some period of time and throwing them into a convention/conference about getting my ass in gear. It's in the format of a play... I have no idea where it's going to go, but I'm having a ball with it. I highly recommend the exercise.
The other thing I'm going to try is another play, where all the lines are one word and the stage direction is heavy. I'm expecting it to be harder than I expect. Infinite paradox, yer-BUGGER!

May 2nd - Roleplayers, check out [link] It will be your friend. Oldies but goodies for hubs: New Orleans Gate, The Basilika, and New York City, a modern fantasy/occult, medieval fantasy church, and Marvel Universe hub respectively. I'm not in NOG anymore, but it's high caliber play. New hubs of note: Dharati and Mimir's Well. The first is another by solice, the creator of NOG, who is an absolute sweetheart and excellent RPer and mod. The second is a modern Norse fantasy epic, and mine! Check it out!

:iconheatherbomb: sings for great justice and moves every zig! Check out her page and bask in her awesome. Also, tell :iconnearertonever: that he should take every opportunity to use her voice. Ping!

Today's special: [link] Edgeworth is sexeh. I picked up this game for my kid brother this week... it's fun to watch him spaz over little grey squares.

May 4th - Wa-hoo! Chapter one of my MSN transmutation emostory is completeco! I'll be tapping it in today if the RP is a bit dry. Also, my cast list for the play that's supposed to light a fire under my ass is done, plus the first scene. That'll be going up too; anyone who's RPed with me should get a kick out of it. 35 characters, FTW!? I was surprised... oh, right. You think I should de-furre most of the characters (except Jack and Lull, of course)? Lemme know.

More goodness! I got locked out of my place yesterday (accidentally this time, haha) so I spent the day being a hippie and wandering around town. Stops of note were Landsdowne campus... I managed to find J, my former playwriting prof. We chatted a bit and she pointed me towards an Advanced Lit. course as well as a week long workshop that'll be going on in June. Should be sweet! Actually, one of the mentors there works at U-Vic... think I'll zing over that was pretty soon and get the lowdown. And! Turns out one of the other guards at the graving dock used to write sci-fi. We're looking into pulling together a little workshop group of our own. His comment on the emostory: 'You've got a talent for description, somewhat like Dickens... I'm biased, though, and was wondering when something was going to happen. It was disappointing when nothing much went on with the waitress. The setting might be off too; people don't talk like that in bars. The banker wasn't gushing at all.' To which I said something like: 'Of course it was disappointing! That's the point. They'll meet again, I promised them that. As for the odd conversation... well, you might've read Spider, but sit down with the Callahan Chronicles a while. I'm going for something like that.'

Mitch is such a brat. <3

Today's Special: [link] For the lulz!

May 8th - A good weekend. Some yardwork, a sunburn, a day at the skate park being weird (ask me if your WTF about it) and some Babylon 5 to seal the deal. Sean picked it up while the crew was checking out HMV and such at Mayfair. Speaking of... Matt's accepted to be my best man. Well, he already had, but we did it face to face last weekend. So I told him I'm committed to hassling him about getting in gear with his fiance, just a bit... maybe the three of us could work on some music. I think his girl is a singer, so maybe I could do up some lyrics. Neato. Back to the HMV thing, I got the source for Disturbed's Land of Confusion... same title, but by the 70's band Genesis. Check it out. Pay attention to the lines near the end... a few words were changed to make the Metal version somewhat more pissed off. Anyway.

I'm teaching my bro a little Bushido! I whip sticks and such around all the time, and he's been showing some interest. He wanted to film it (he got a cam a few months ago), so we hashed out a quick routine. He even wanted to do a slo-mo first person bit! It was great. He'll post it somewhere I'm sure... I'll keep you posted.

Today's Special: 'Zen is not about thinking. It not about meditation. It is not about peace. It is about security within one's own mind, the confidence to take one's desires and act upon them with confidence and wisdom. Thought and action must flow as one. This is what Zen is about.'

Old Day

Sun Oct 1, 2006, 6:39 PM
Today I am 23. Whoo-ha. I don't plan to celebrate it all that much, no more then I already have anyway. There's four family birthdays in the area this month, so we get the whole clan together and celebrate it all at once. That way I don't feel bad for spending 30 bucks on a dinner, since it's actually four dinners wrapped into one.

So Sean my roomate/partner/wife/I dunno guy is out in Hawaii for a week - he just called to wish me happy birthday actually - sort of a working vaccation for travel agents where he checks out the resorts and stuff so he knows what it's like when he sends people to them. So I'm by myself here... lonley! Not to be emo, but I missed him after he was gone for half an hour. Probably because I know where was a lot more alone time coming, but still. What a fag I am.

Writingwise, it seems like I'm less lazy when I'm out camping or hiking or whatever. I'll have to make a point of bringing a notepad and pencil out on those excursions from now on. Maybe you'll see more from me... not like I need to think of new plots, with Polteirgust, imp., and Jack's Story going. Not to mention my twenty or so other RP characters I could do histories on. Any preferances, my hoardes of dutious and helpful watchers?

I've got your headline right here, America.

Thu Sep 7, 2006, 9:25 AM
First: [link] If you're not pissed now, American or not, you don't want to read anymore. It's rant time.

I know there was a group of people in Toronto that were allegedly preparing some sort of terrorist something against someone. For the sake of arguement, let's say they were, and the target was America.

So what. For the longest time, pretty much ever since they've had the power to do so, America has been bullying everyone. I'm thinking post WW II here: there was the Cold War, the SUPPORT of Al-Queda to try and cause a victory back in the 80's and install a puppet government, Vietnam, intervening in Iran, blahblahblah. The point is, America feels that if they aren't involved in something, either by 'peacekeeping' (read: going in with bigger guns) or openly supplying/fighting factions in an unending war, then it's not happening.

That is totally shit and the country deserves the economic bomb it's dropped. If someone(s) invaded America, the rest of the world wouldn't give a damn. Granted, America would probably win if they were invaded, but the point here is that AMERICA IS THE TERROR THREAT HERE. For example: If you do something Al-Queda doesn't like, you lose a building and some lives. Sure, that sucks. But it's nowhere NEAR equal to a country and an entire goddamn race of people, an entire culture.

Hell, it's not even one country or one people anymore; Iraq, Canada, and Madrid are 'evil' now as well. I don't see anyone, not even Saddam himself, being all buddy buddy with someone then bombing the shit out of them a quarter century later. Yes, dictatorship is bad, and yes, Hussien is bad. But is blowing the fuck out of his people making things any better? Damn right it's not. It's just blowing people up, and not just the badguys. America, please teach your bombers how to aim. Bin Laden didn't miss the World Trade Centre, maybe you could miss our guys now and then?

And that's another thing; America dragging other nations into this bullying, and by whining about this or that treaty even. Are they really suprised that Chretien hesitated to show any support at all when America's attack was already a massacare when it was just America by itself? Personally, I would've told Bush to eat me, if he wants to be king of the sandbox he can do it himself.

Funny thing is, when the UN tells Bush to sign the Kyoto, or to back the fuck up from Iraq, he just flips them the bird. He's telling every UN country there is that they're nothing next to America by doing that, and suprise suprise, member countries don't like that. I'm suprised the US is still in the UN, really. It's not like it's following UN delegation anyway, why should it get the benefits? America is practically a spy in the UN with how it's acting.

I'm not even going to get into the real reason there's troops over there. For one, it can't be just oil, I refuse to believe any person that's able to become the leader of a country is that petty, and for two, I don't know the whole story and I might be wrong. But seriously. America could actually be the chorus of angels it thinks it is and terrorists could actually be the demons Bush says they are, and this would still be wrong. It's a matter of principle I'm adressing, not reason.

Feh. It's bullshit. I'm done, but here's a parting thought courtesy of Edgeworth: [link]

Hissykitty out.

Also... I just heard something on the radio that should be REALLY interesting. It seems Bill Clinton is adressing the public again, but in Canada, at the Memorial Centre. That's like... 3 blocks away from me. It's in three days... day after payday. Root for me! I wanna go!
